The Center was set up in OCCI in January 2000. This is an easily accessible support center that welcomes any business-people or students for start-up of business as well as top-managers of small and medium enterprises aiming for renovated management or expansion of business, for any consultation that they may need. Well-experienced support specialists at the Center readily respond to needs of consultation on start-up of business, renovated management, introduction of IT, development of manufacture technologies and various other matters. They provide carefully-considered, in-depth advice and useful information, not only at the Center but also on their visits directly to companies as such need arises.

System Outline
"The Business Mall" site contains a wide spectrum of information on various companies including their technology, equipment, products and services, etc. As well as providing infrastructure and support, our site enables companies to do a simple Internet search by region or by product. This system will also support the companies in carrying out B to B e-commerce. Our site is Japan's largest company information database for electronic commerce (e-business).

Numbers of Registered Companies：Approx. 294,500（As of October, 2007）
Originally, this database was to be confined to the member companies of the chambers of commerce in the Kansai region. However, owing to the popularity and inquiries from regional governments, corporations and organizations from all over Japan, the registration is now acceptable from throughout the nation. In collaboration with the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we are further promoting nationwide registration.

Additionally, the ‘Business-talks Mall’ has been set up in 2004 where a buyer of products and services can anonymously find his or her counterpart. (Registration in advance required)

In collaboration with the Osaka Securities Exchange, this Venture Club has been set up to support development of venture enterprises in Osaka/Kansai and to assist with public offering of stocks.

A regular meeting is held every 3-month-term, with an up-and-coming young entrepreneur (who achieved success in all from business start-up through to public offering of stocks) as coordinator, for enlightenment and emulation among about 15 members of venture business executives. With top representatives of companies (with listed stocks) as lecturers, members gain opportunities to learn from their accounts of experiences and policies, as well as from their advice for the rising generation. Through exchange gatherings, they can also build human resource networks.

M&A Market of OCCI, Japan's very first "M&A Market launched by a public organization," started out in April 1997. All the while since then, it has attracted considerable attention from all the main daily newspapers of Japan and others of the media who repeatedly took it up in their reports, and they have also been sending inquiries or asking for consultation.

M&A Market is highly useful for various cases of needs such as seeking an appropriate transferee of business because of the lack of successor, or wanting to buy over a business to diversify into new fields, and many others.

This Festa is conducted in November every year with emphasis on meetings for business talks with displays from various lines of business, bringing together new products and new services developed and devised from unique ideas and technologies. In fiscal 2007, active business talks were conducted between approx 250 exhibitors and visitors expecting encounters with some new business.

Under the Marukei Finance system, OCCI recommends some small businesses to the People’s Finance Corporation for their finance, for operations and equipment, without security or guarantor and at low interests, to help such small businesses improve their business management.
